Thelambu capsules is dried seed coat of the Sterculia foetida. It is a softly wooded tree that can grow up to 35 metres tall. Common names for the plant are the bastard poon tree, the java olive tree, wild almond tree and skunk tree, this is due to the strong smell of the tree. The thelambu capsules have a slightly medicinal effect on fish. It is a natural decoration piece, but also perfect for use as a hiding place.
